Den Park haben wir ausgesucht, weil es hier viele Baumstachler geben soll, die sehr putzige nordamerikanische Variante des Stachelschweins. Der Park ist gar nicht sooo gross und wir durchqueren ihn von allen Seiten. Simon entdeckt das Powerwandern f\u00fcr sich und macht gerne Strecken von 20 km \u00fcber die Appalachen an einem halben Tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-1 \/><\/a><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir sehen Biber, die mit dem Schwanz aufs Wasser platschen um uns zu vertreiben, Elche die neben der Strasse trinken oder mit dem Unterholz k\u00e4mpfen, um den Bast vom Geweih zu bekommen. Streifenh\u00f6rnchen und Roth\u00f6rnchen sammeln die Wintervorr\u00e4te zusammen, die Blauheere sammeln sich zum Flug in den S\u00fcden. Der Wald kleidet sich langsam in die sch\u00f6nsten Farben. Nur die Baumstachler scheinen das alles zu verschlafen. Spuren von Ihnen finden wir viele, \u00fcberall ist die Rinde fleckenweise vom Baum genagt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:54% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/hubert-on-tour.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/vlcsnap-2021-02-28-00h27m15s479.jpg?resize=1024%2C576\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-431\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Irgendwann haben wir dann doch noch Gl\u00fcck und sehen ein Urson (Nordamerikanischer Baumstachler-<em>Erethizon dorsatum<\/em>) neben der Strasse.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Nachdem wir alle Wege ausprobiert haben, wissen wir nicht so richtig wohin es weiter gehen soll. Richtung S\u00fcden in die USA? Vielleicht ein bisschen fr\u00fch, Quebec hat ja noch viel zu bieten. Weiter in den Westen vorbei an Quebec City Richtung Niagara F\u00e4lle? Ne, das ist uns eigentlich zu touristisch. Wir studieren unsern Reisef\u00fchrer und merken, wir h\u00e4tten fast die Belugas verpasst. Also wieder ab zum St. Lauwrenz Golf. Wegen Sturm f\u00e4hrt mal wieder keine F\u00e4hre also fahren wir halt einmal aussenrum \u00fcber Quebec City. An der Nordk\u00fcste in Tardousac angekommen, halten wir Ausschau und sehen nat\u00fcrlich erst mal keine. Wir buchen uns eine Bootstour f\u00fcr 3 Tage sp\u00e4ter, machen Wanderungen zu angeblichen Beluga Aussichtspunkten und werden schliesslich auf der gratis F\u00e4hre f\u00fcndig. Die ersten Belugas tauchen aus dem Nebel auf und verschwinden auch genau so schnell wieder. Stundenlang warten wir hinter der F\u00e4hre am Aussichtpunkt und werden belohnt, selbst die grauen Jungtiere kann man gut sehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-3 Erwartungen wurden \u00fcbertroffen. Das Boot ist klein und wendig, mit 12 Leuten haben wir Platz uns zu bewegen, der Kapit\u00e4n ist super nett, weiss viel und ist respektvoll den Walen gegen\u00fcber. Belugas umringen unser Boot schon auf dem Weg raus und wir warten zum Schutz der Tiere, bis sie sich entfernen. Minkwale, Finnwale und Buckelwale tauchen von allen Seiten neben dem Boot auf. Simon wird von einem Buckelwal angepustet, was wohl 7 Jahre Gl\u00fcck bedeutet. Wir wissen gar nicht wohin wir schauen sollen und werden schliesslich noch von springenden Buckelwalen \u00fcberrascht. Nach fast 3 Stunden auf dem Wasser, sind wir so gl\u00fccklich, dass wir grad nochmal los wollen. Leider sind die n\u00e4chsten Tage ausgebucht, das Wetter soll eh schlechter werden und es ist schon ziemlich kalt. Wir schauen uns noch ein paar Minkwale vom Land an und verabschieden uns von den Belugas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-5 wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped\"><ul herum fliegen jedes Jahr die grossen Schneeg\u00e4nse in den S\u00fcden. Wir haben das Gl\u00fcck ausserhalb vom Schutzgebiet am Cap Toumente hunderte auf einem Feld zu sehen. Diese sind nicht weit weg, lassen sich prima beobachten und es kommt einem vor wie ein riesiger Haufen schimpfende Hausg\u00e4nse. Auch die dunkle Morph k\u00f6nnen wir entdecken.
